The Corona epidemics come in the whole world in 19.but its news was heard in India from February in the last week of 2020. The government announced a lock down.The joint efforts of the Azad Shiksha Kendra and the ISD to make people aware of the infection of corona disease in the region, distribute mask , pamphlet, besides helping the poor and needy families of the region in the village and city To conduct surveys and identify genuine needy families, and provide them ration kits. At the time of this lock down, the efforts of both the organizations have contributed to help the needy people in the 9 blocks of Jaunpur district.
In 2011, Jaunpur had population of 4,494,204 of which male and female were 2,220,465 and 2,273,739. Out of the total Jaunpur population for 2011 census, only 7.71 percent lives in urban regions of this district. That is why more people here go to other countries or big cities of India for employment and a large population here is associated with agriculture. And their families depend and sustain on this sources. Azad shiksha Kendra is working in jaunpur district from 2004 on different issue like Child Right, Education, Gender Discrimination and awareness of youth, Composite Heritage for peace and democracy in 2 blocks, Shahganj and Kuthan and has established a relationship with the people of the community.Azad Shiksha kendra has been working with associated the ISD “Institue For Social Democracy . ISD is based on the vision of a democratic, secular and peaceful society. A society based on mutual fund respect of rights of individuals and human development.It believes in accepting identities difference, empathizing with the socio-cultural aspiration of various social groups and opening dialogues without questioning intention.ISD works on two broad themes one is composite heritage and others is local capacities for peace.The Azad Shiksha Kendra strives to take up development issues in 9 block of the region through various programs such as the “ Madrasa Improvement Program” which operates in 30 madrasas in the region, with approximately 7000 students enrolling in it, besides its “Composite heritage and local capacities for peace program” in 12 villages and 12 Junior schools and 12 primary schools are operated in which the women's group is formed and community meeting and training is going on. We have an association with about 80000 families in the entire district.
